This CFAS Climate Finance Guide provides negotiators and observers with an overview of the key issues related to climate finance that will be discussed at the 24th Conference of the Parties (COP) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), to be held from 3 to 15 December 2018 in Katowice, Poland. It is structured along the main items of the agenda of the different bodies that will meet in Katowice, namely the COP itself, the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP), the subsidiary bodies (SBI and SBSTA) and the Ad-hoc Working Group on the Paris Agreement (APA). A table at the end of the document provides a simple synopsis of all the items discussed in this guide.
